  • Essential Tips for a Perfect Destination Wedding

Planning a destination wedding is such an exciting adventure! Imagine exchanging vows in a breathtaking location, surrounded by your closest friends and family, all while soaking up the sun or the charm of a new city. But let me tell you, pulling off a flawless destination wedding takes more than just booking a flight and a venue. It requires thoughtful planning, smart decisions, and a sprinkle of insider knowledge. I’m here to share some essential wedding planning tips that will help you create the perfect day without the stress. Ready? Let’s dive in! Choosing the Ideal Location for Your Dream Wedding Picking the right destination is the foundation of your entire wedding experience. It’s not just about the scenery or the weather; it’s about what feels right for you and your partner. Here’s how to narrow down your options: Consider the Season: Research the best time to visit your chosen location. Avoid rainy seasons or extreme heat unless that’s exactly what you want. Accessibility for Guests: Think about how easy it is for your guests to get there. Are there direct flights? What about visa requirements? Venue Variety: Look for places that offer a range of venues, from beaches and gardens to historic sites and luxury resorts. Local Culture and Activities: Choose a spot where your guests can enjoy local attractions, food, and experiences before or after the wedding. For example, if you love tropical vibes, a beach resort in the Caribbean or Hawaii might be perfect. If you’re drawn to old-world charm, a villa in Tuscany or a castle in Scotland could be magical. Tropical beach resort perfect for a destination wedding Tips for a Perfect Destination Wedding: Managing Logistics Like a Pro Once you’ve picked your dream destination, it’s time to get organized. Managing logistics from afar can feel overwhelming, but with the right approach, it’s totally doable! Create a Detailed Timeline: Map out every step from sending save-the-dates to the big day. Include travel dates, vendor deadlines, and guest arrival times. Communicate Clearly with Guests: Keep everyone in the loop with a wedding website or group chat. Share travel tips, accommodation options, and dress codes. Plan for Weather Contingencies: Have a backup plan for outdoor ceremonies in case of rain or wind. Remember, the key is to stay flexible and keep your cool. Things might not always go exactly as planned, but that’s part of the adventure! How to Make Your Wedding Unique and Personal Your destination wedding should reflect your love story and personalities. Here are some ideas to make it truly yours: Incorporate Local Traditions: Whether it’s a cultural dance, a special blessing, or local cuisine, these touches add authenticity and fun. Custom Invitations and Favors: Use designs inspired by your destination. Think tropical flowers, rustic maps, or elegant calligraphy. Personalized Ceremony Vows: Write your own vows to express your unique bond. Interactive Guest Experiences: Arrange group activities like snorkeling, wine tasting, or city tours to create lasting memories. Adding these personal elements will make your wedding stand out and feel intimate, even with guests from all over the world. Personalized wedding invitation inspired by destination theme Tips for Budgeting Your Destination Wedding Wisely Destination weddings can be surprisingly affordable if you plan smartly. Here’s how to keep your budget in check without sacrificing your dream: Set Priorities: Decide what matters most - venue, food, photography, or entertainment - and allocate funds accordingly. Limit the Guest List: Smaller weddings mean lower costs for travel, accommodation, and catering. Book Early: Early bookings often come with discounts and better availability. Bundle Services: Many resorts offer all-inclusive wedding packages that cover everything from the ceremony to the reception. DIY Where Possible: Handmade decorations or favors can add charm and save money. Keep in mind that some hidden costs like travel insurance, currency exchange fees, and legal paperwork might pop up, so budget a little extra for those surprises. Making Travel and Accommodation Easy for Everyone Your guests’ comfort is just as important as your own! Here’s how to make their travel and stay smooth and enjoyable: Group Discounts: Negotiate group rates for flights and hotels. Many resorts offer special deals for wedding parties. Welcome Bags: Prepare bags with essentials like local maps, snacks, sunscreen, and a schedule of events. Transportation: Arrange shuttles or car rentals to and from the airport and wedding venues. Accommodation Options: Provide a range of lodging choices from budget-friendly to luxury, so guests can pick what suits them best. • Master Destination Wedding Planning in 10 Steps

Planning a wedding abroad is an exciting adventure! It’s a chance to celebrate your love in a stunning location, surrounded by your closest friends and family. But it can also feel overwhelming if you don’t know where to start. Don’t worry - I’m here to guide you through the process to master destination wedding planning in 10 simple steps that will make your dream destination wedding come true. Whether you’re picturing a beach ceremony, a mountain retreat, or a charming European village, these tips will help you stay organized, stress-free, and ready to say “I do” in paradise! Step 1: Choose Your Perfect Destination and Venue to Plan a Wedding Abroad The first step is to pick the location that speaks to your heart. Think about the vibe you want - tropical, rustic, elegant, or adventurous? Consider the climate, travel accessibility, and what kind of experience you want for your guests. Once you narrow down the destination, start looking for venues that fit your style and budget. Research local wedding laws and requirements. Check if the venue offers wedding packages or preferred vendors. Think about accommodations nearby for your guests. For example, if you’re dreaming of a beach wedding in the Caribbean, look for resorts that specialize in destination weddings and offer all-inclusive options. This makes planning easier and ensures your guests have a great time. Beach wedding venue with tropical decorations Step 2: Set a Realistic Budget and Timeline to Plan a Wedding Abroad Budgeting is key! Destination weddings can be cost-effective, but it’s important to plan carefully. Include travel, accommodation, venue fees, catering, decor, and any extras like excursions or welcome parties. Create a detailed budget spreadsheet. Prioritize what matters most to you. Allow a buffer for unexpected expenses. Next, set a timeline. Destination weddings usually require more lead time than local weddings. Start planning at least 12-18 months ahead to secure your venue and vendors. This also gives your guests plenty of time to make travel arrangements. Step 3: How Far in Advance Should You Plan a Destination Wedding? Timing is everything! Ideally, you want to start your destination wedding planning 12 to 18 months before your big day. This gives you enough time to: Book your venue and vendors. Send save-the-dates and invitations. Arrange travel and accommodations for guests. Handle legal paperwork and marriage licenses. If you’re planning a smaller, more intimate wedding, you might get away with 9-12 months, but the earlier, the better! This also helps you avoid peak travel seasons and higher prices. Wedding planning calendar with notes and pen Step 4: Hire a Local Wedding Planner or Destination Wedding Expert One of the smartest moves you can make is to hire a local wedding planner or a destination wedding expert. They know the area, vendors, and legal requirements inside out. Plus, they can save you time, money, and stress. Look for planners with great reviews and experience in your chosen destination. Ask if they offer packages that include coordination, design, and vendor management. Communicate your vision clearly and trust their expertise. For example, DestinationWedding Experts powered by VIP Vacations specialize in making destination wedding planning effortless. They handle everything from start to finish, so you can focus on enjoying your special day. Step 5: Send Save-the-Dates Early and Provide Travel Information Your guests will need plenty of notice to plan their trip. Send save-the-dates as soon as you lock in your date and venue - ideally 9-12 months before the wedding. Include travel tips, accommodation options, and local attractions. Create a wedding website with all the details. Consider group rates or room blocks at hotels. This helps guests budget and coordinate their schedules. It also builds excitement for the celebration ahead! Step 6: Plan Your Wedding Events and Activities A destination wedding is more than just the ceremony. It’s a chance to create unforgettable memories with your loved ones. Plan a few events around the wedding day: Welcome party or rehearsal dinner. Group excursions or sightseeing tours. Farewell brunch or pool party. Keep your guests’ interests and energy levels in mind. Offering a mix of activities ensures everyone feels included and has a fantastic time. Wedding reception table with elegant floral decorations Step 7: Understand Legal Requirements and Paperwork Every country has different rules for getting married. Research the legal requirements early to avoid surprises. Check if you need a marriage license, blood tests, or residency periods. Gather necessary documents like passports, birth certificates, and divorce decrees if applicable. Consider a symbolic ceremony if legal paperwork is complicated, followed by a legal ceremony at home. Your wedding planner or local expert can help you navigate this process smoothly. Step 8: Choose Vendors and Services Wisely Selecting the right vendors is crucial for a flawless wedding day. Look for: Experienced photographers and videographers familiar with the location. Caterers who can accommodate dietary needs and local flavors. Florists who understand the climate and seasonal blooms. Entertainment that fits your style and guest preferences. Ask for portfolios, reviews, and references. Booking vendors early ensures availability and better rates. Step 9: Pack Smart and Prepare for Travel Packing for a destination wedding requires some extra thought. Here are some tips: Pack your wedding attire carefully to avoid wrinkles or damage. Bring essential documents, medications, and emergency kits. Consider climate-appropriate clothing and accessories. Plan for any cultural customs or dress codes. Don’t forget to confirm travel arrangements and check passport validity and visa requirements. Step 10: Enjoy Your Wedding Day and Celebrate! After all the planning, it’s time to soak in every moment! Trust your team, relax, and focus on the joy of marrying your partner in a breathtaking location. Have a day-of coordinator to handle logistics. Take time for photos and quiet moments together. Celebrate with your guests and create lifelong memories. Remember, this day is about love, laughter, and new beginnings. Enjoy it fully! Did these Destination Wedding Planning in 10 Steps make things easier for you? • Tips from Destination Wedding Experts Tips: 5 Tips To Make the Most of Your Stay at El Dorado Maroma in Mexico

More Destination Weddings tricks if you are planning a wedding in Mexico! As a Travel Advisor, I am lucky enough to travel throughout the Caribbean & Mexico multiple times each year and one of my favorite resorts to vacation at is El Dorado Maroma! El Dorado Maroma is located in the Riviera Maya area, about 45 minutes south of the Cancun Airport (code: CUN), but only 30 minutes north of Playa del Carmen.   Driving Up to El Dorado Maroma is like no other experience. After turning off the main highway, your driver will meander through quiet fields of mangroves and just as the mangroves break for a more jungle-atmosphere, you will pull up to the lobby of El Dorado Maroma.   This 157-room all-inclusive resort is located on one of the most beautiful beaches in the Riviera Maya region – Maroma Beach – and once you vacation here, you will understand why! Not only does El Dorado Maroma has very personalized service, but the beach here is stunning: beautiful blue water and the powder-soft white sand. The jungle landscaping and quite isolation of El Dorado Maroma makes this resort perfect for anyone looking for a romantic beach getaway. Interested in learning more about El Dorado Maroma? Here are our Destination Wedding Experts Tips Mexico: Top 5 Tips for when staying here!   1.    Visit the Concierge Office Right Away! The Concierge can help you with making sure your trip is as seamless as possible!   I highly recommend visiting the Concierge Office on your first day to set up your dinner reservations and spa treatments. That way the rest of your stay is planned out and you don’t need to worry about what to do for dinner!   You will also be able to select aromatherapy to accompany your nightly turndown service through the Concierge. Do it! There’s nothing better than walking into your room after dinner and having a delicious aromatherapy scent wafting around your room.   2.    Try all the Restaurants You Can! All the restaurants at El Dorado Maroma are amazing! I highly recommend trying each one if you can!   A “Food Display” Breakfast (similar to a buffet breakfast, but the food is a little fresher) is served daily at Papito’s Gourmet Beach Club from 7am-11am. This restaurant is located right on the beach, so I recommend sitting outside and enjoying the views! There is also an a la carte breakfast at Lima Limon from 7am-12pm if you prefer to order off a menu.   For lunch, you have the choice of going back to Papito’s or Lima Limon, or you can visit Bar 24 for a more “Americanized” lunch.   Dinner gives you a lot more in the way of culinary experiences. The restaurants below are open from 5:30pm-10:00pm. Mexico Lindo-Sabores (Mexican Cuisine) Mio Cuccina Italiana (Italian Cuisine) Lima Limon (Peruvian Cuisine) Kiyoka (Asian Cuisine) Caribbean Grill Restaurant & Terrace (Mexican Fusion)   Our favorite dinner was at the Asian restaurant - we went there twice! Highly recommend!   My personal recommendation is to have dinner around 7 or 7:30pm, just because it’ll give you some more time to unwind and relax after a long day in the sun and enough time to get ready for dinner.   While not all the restaurants have a dress code, some of them do! In order to avoid any faux pas, I recommend following the dress code for all restaurants. BREAKFAST & LUNCH Recommended: Sun dresses, elegant sandals, t-shirts and skirts, long pants, formal bermuda, polo shirt, sleeved t-shirt, sandals or tennis shoes Permitted: Shorts, t-shirts and flip-flops Not Permitted: Swimming trunks, bikinis, swimsuits, tank tops, sleeveless shirts, baseball caps or any type of hat. DINNER Recommended: Dresses, skirts, long pants, shoes, Capri pants, elegant sandals, long pants, collared shirts, casual shoes Permitted: Shorts, sleeved t-shirts, flip flops Not Permitted: Swimming trunks, bikinis, swimsuits, tank tops, sleeveless shirts, baseball caps.   3.    Utilize the Bali Beds – they are Free! If you get up early (around 7 or 8), head down to the main pool or beach and snag a Bali bed - they’re free to all guests and are first come first serve! Just keep an eye on the beach – some of the beds are labeled a little differently and are only for the vacation club members.   There are pool butlers and beach butlers who set everything up and will get you towels and stuff for your Bali beds or pool/beach chairs (so you don’t have to go searching for towels). Plus, once you are settled into your Bali bed, you won’t have to move a muscle to get drinks – the pool and beach butlers will take care of everything! Just lay back, relax, and enjoy!   4.    Daily & Nightly Entertainment During the day, the El Dorado Maroma “Playmakers” can be found throughout the resort inviting guests to partake in one of their many activities – beach volleyball, pool volleyball, cooking classes, and more! Feel free to participate as much or as little as you want!   The resort also offers paddleboards and kayaks that you can take out free of charge to explore the waters on your own.   At night, Rick’s Bar is where you want to go to catch the nightly shows that El Dorado Maroma offers. Rick’s is located on the top floor of the new Spa/Fitness building (building S4 on the map at the end of this document). Even if you don’t catch a show, they have a fun bar/lounge area and an outdoor rooftop deck that is neat for drinks and has a great view!     5.    Download the App! Before you go, don’t forget to download the El Dorado Maroma app from the app store! In the app you can find the resort’s entertainment schedule, special events, as well as room service menus, dining hours, fitness classes, and more! The app is called “GA El Dorado Maroma” in the iPhone app store.   Hope you liked our destination wedding experts tips Mexico Edition! • Destination Wedding Experts share: 5 Need-to-Know Tips for staying at El Dorado Royale & Casitas from a Travel Expert!

Destination Wedding Tips: Being in the industry for nearly 12 years, I’ve been lucky enough to visit many different islands and resorts throughout Mexico and the Caribbean. However, it didn’t take much time for me to pick my favorite – the Lomas Resorts! This brand has both adults-only resorts (El Dorado) and family-friendly properties (Generations & Nickelodeon). I am lucky enough to get to stay at one of the Lomas resorts at least once a year and am NEVER disappointed… along with NEVER wanting to leave! These resorts are also considered “gourmet inclusive” instead of just “all-inclusive”. This means they take a lot of pride in their food, and I can tell you, that everything I’ve ever eaten here has been OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD delicious! Not to mention, the service is IMPECCABLE! The staff truly cares about your experience and making it one to last a lifetime – I find myself rarely opening a door for myself when visiting one of these properties. Of them all, my heart remains a part of El Dorado Royale/Casitas Royale! The El Dorado Royale/Casitas Royale was the very first resort I visited as a travel advisor, which also happened to be on my very first trip out of the country. Turns out, this property would be where I married my hubby six years later in August of 2016! ( And a few years later we took our first trip as a family of three with our son at the neighboring, family-friendly Generations property! ) El Dorado Royale/Casitas Royale is in the Riviera Maya, just a short 20-minute ride from the Cancun Airport, making it close enough to be able to experience the hustle and bustle of Cancun, yet far enough to feel like you are in a secluded, Mexican paradise! On property, guests will find world-class restaurants, an array of bars, multiple pools, two fitness centers and even two full-service spas! I feel nothing short of spoiled when I stay here and I make sure to recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing, romantic Mexican vacation! Want to know more? Here are our Destination Wedding Experts El Dorado Royale Top 5 Need-to-Know Tips for your next visit! 1.    Still Hungry? Order More! There has never been a restaurant I did not like at this resort! And with 14 different dining options, your taste buds will never get bored. You’ll be able to tickle your palate with cuisines from Italian to Mexican, American to Asian, and Caribbean to International. Most of these restaurants are a la carte, but there are a few food displays (buffets) on site as well. One thing to remember - some of the a la carte restaurants do serve smaller portions, but don’t forget that you are at an all-inclusive resort! Order a second time… or take advantage of the complimentary 24-hour room service that is available to you! ( They have amazing guacamole!! ) Your mini bar is also complimentary, so enjoy it, as it is restocked daily.   The dress code on property is Resort Casual for breakfast & lunch and Resort Elegant for dinner. Woman can essentially wear whatever they would like in the restaurants (just no swimsuits). For men, t-shirts are required for breakfast, and a collared shirt (polo or button up) and closed toe shoes for dinner. Reservations are not required but you can make them if you would like. 2.    Can I drink the water? The resort has an incredible filtration system, so you really don’t need to worry about the water. While I wouldn’t put my head under the faucet and drink from there, I’ve used the faucet water to wet my toothbrush and rinse my mouth out and have never had any issues, so you don’t have to worry about that. You also don’t have to worry about the water they use to rinse the food or the ice cubes you’ll find floating in your margarita ( if you ordered it on the rocks, that is!).  In your room will always be between 6-10 bottles of water at one time, so you’ll never run out of it! Stay hydrated, folks! 3.    Daily & Night Entertainment One of the items you will receive upon check in will be an activity sheet. You can also find this on your in-room flat screen TV! These are all FREE activities for you to do, so I HIGHLY recommend you take advantage of them! There are activities such as kayaking tours, snorkeling, touring the greenhouse, cooking demonstrations, dance lessons, coconut painting, trivia games, bingo, bicycles to use, tequila tastings, and more! And at night, you’ll be able to enjoy live music from local musicians, work up a sweat by dancing the night away to heart-pumping DJ’s, be entertained by fire dancers, and enjoy nightly theme parties ( like casino nights! ), just to name a few! You also have full use of the fitness center at no extra cost, so you can burn off a few of those calories you are sure to eat ( and drink ) up! 4.    Looking for something extra special? While the resort is all inclusive, there are some things that do cost additional, such as: the gift shop, laundry service, the Starbucks coffee shop, & some telephone and fax services. You can also make your trip extra special with some unique add-ons like a private dinner on the beach , tennis lessons, beauty salon services, a couples massage next to the ocean , a wine pairing at a Culinary Theatre and tours/excursions. Spa treatments and tours/excursions can be purchased ahead of time, or you can do this upon arrival.   5.    Immerse yourself in the culture! The resort offers a complimentary shuttle into Cancun and Playa del Carmen where you can go shopping, eat some local cuisine, have a drink at a bar, or go dancing at night! Cancun is a 35-minute ride, while Playa del Carmen is a quicker 20-minute ride from the hotel. Reservations are required and you can make these at the front desk. • Tips from Destination Wedding Experts on making the most of your Unico 20˚87˚ All-Inclusive Vacation

VIP Destination Wedding Experts share destination wedding tips for several of our favorite all-inclusive resorts. As travel advisors, we travel throughout the Caribbean & Mexico multiple times each year. One of our favorites is Unico 20˚87˚! Unico 20˚87˚ is located in the Riviera Maya area of Cancun (which means you fly into the Cancun airport – code: CUN), about an hour away from the airport and 30 minutes from both Playa del Carmen and Tulum. Stepping into the lobby at Unico 20˚87˚ immediately gives you an idea of the type of vacation you will have – beautiful furnishings, unique accents (and the relaxing aromatherapy), and personalized service that begins at the check-in process. Unico 20˚87˚ Hotel Lobby Unico 20˚87˚ is an all-inclusive, adults-only property and your stay includes: 5-star adults-only accommodations with all meals & beverages In-room minibar stocked according to preference Custom-scented amenities Five unique restaurants + five bars with a devoted mixology program plus 24-hr room service Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi Poolside and beachside service including snacks and beverages Land and water sports Fitness Center with a visiting instructor program Daily and nightly events A dedicated Local Host to assist during your stay Pillow & Aromatherapy menu And more! After your check-in process is complete, you’ll be taken to your room if it’s ready (and even if not, you are free to enjoy the resort until it is!). The resort has Ocean View, Ocean Front, and Swim Up rooms and they each come furnished with one king bed or two double beds; bathroom with rain showers and hand showers, double sinks, and bath amenities; one of the most comfortable bathrobes you will find at an all-inclusive resort; blow dryer (and flat iron upon request!); all wrapped up in a room with modern-rustic décor and local art pieces. Once you’re ready to enjoy the resort, you will have three pools, five restaurants, and five bars to choose from – each with a different feel! But the one thing that unites the entire property is their incredible staff. You can expect wonderful service when staying at Unico 20˚87˚, from the pool butlers to the waiters to the housekeeping staff, every staff member at Unico 20˚87˚ will go and beyond to make sure your vacation is nothing short of amazing! I found my trip to Unico 20˚87˚ to be one of the most relaxing vacations I’ve ever been on and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable getaway or a romantic honeymoon! I nterested in learning more about Unico 20˚87˚? Here are our destination wedding tips for when staying here! 1.    Utilize your Local Host! All guests are assigned a Local Host (concierge) that will help you throughout your stay – utilize them! They are there to help make sure your stay is as wonderful as it can be. Your Local Host can help arrange dining reservations (highly recommended!), spa appointments, excursions, and more! While on property, your host can easily be reached via the app “WhatsApp”. We highly recommend downloading this before you go so you can reach out to your host via WhatsApp whenever you have questions or need their assistance. 2.    Leave your Hat at Home! If you look around your room, you’ll find that there are two straw hats – these are for you to use during your stay and take home with you! What’s more, you’re able to have your hats custom painted with your name, cute phrases, a small image – all for free! Hat painting is done on the main lawn from 11am-5pm on Wednesdays and returned to your room once dry. 3.    Try all the Restaurants You Can! All the restaurants at Unico 2087 are amazing! I highly recommend trying each one if you can! Breakfast can be found at 2087 Restaurant and Mi Carisa, or you can order room service! For Lunch, I recommend visiting 2087 Restaurant or if you don’t want to move from your prime spot by the pool or on the beach, you can order food such as chips & guacamole, ceviche, burgers, fries, salad, and more from your poolside/beachside waiter! Dinner gives you a lot more in the way of culinary experiences and your Local Host will likely arrange your dinner reservations. Try to hit up every restaurant for dinner if you can! The restaurants are: Mi Carisa (Italian) 20˚87˚ Restaurant (a la carte) Cueva Siete (modern Mexican) Mura House (Japanese & teppanyaki)  20˚87˚ Restaurant My personal recommendation is to have dinner around 7 or 7:30pm, just because it’ll give you some more time to unwind and relax after a long day in the sun and enough time to get ready for dinner. While not all the restaurants have a dress code, some of them do! In order to avoid any faux pas, I recommend following the dress code for all restaurants. BREAKFAST & LUNCH OK To Wear:  Sun dresses, elegant sandals, t-shirts and skirts, long pants, formal Bermuda shorts, polo shirt, sleeved t-shirt, sandals, tennis shoes, shorts, t-shirts and flip-flops. (if you wear your swim trunks or swimsuit, make sure to wear a t-shirt/beach cover up on top!) Not Recommended:  Swimming trunks, bikinis, swimsuits, tank tops, sleeveless shirts, baseball caps or any type of hat. DINNER OK To Wear:  Dresses, skirts, long pants, shoes, Capri pants, elegant sandals, long pants, collared shirts, nice shorts, sleeved t-shirts, casual shoes. Not Recommended:  Swimming trunks, bikinis, swimsuits, tank tops, sleeveless shirts, baseball caps. And lastly, if you’re not in the mood to venture out and see other people, you can always order room service! Unico 20˚87˚ makes it super easy to order room service through their app. Everything from breakfast to afternoon snacks to their famous churros is delicious – make sure to give it a whirl! 4.    Live It Up at the Pools! If you’re an early riser and get up around 7 or 8 in the morning, head down to the main pool or beach and snag a couple of chairs! You can “reserve” your spot by leaving a beach bag, book, or hat on the bed (just make sure the hat is heavy enough so that it doesn’t fly away), and no one will take your spot!   There are pool butlers and beach butlers who set everything up and will get you towels and stuff for your pool/beach chairs (so you don’t have to go searching for towels). If you would like to rent a Bali Bed, you can do so at an additional cost (your Local Host can help you with this). Feeling thirsty? Those same pool & beach butlers are also there to make sure that you always have a drink in your hand. Hunger starting to hit you? No worries – you can order snacks through the app and your butler will bring it right to you! 20˚87˚ Pool 5.    Daily & Nightly Entertainment During the day, the Unico Activities Team can be found around the 2087 pool inviting guests to partake in some of their activities. Some of the fun activities they have are snorkeling, floating yoga, cardio dance classes, and group walks & runs. The resort also offers paddleboards and kayaks that you can take out free of charge to explore the waters on your own. At night, the Palmera Lounge and Bar Balam are the hubs of evening activities. They have find everything from live music to silent discos to bingo depending on the day of the week, plus it’s a great spot to make new friends! 6.    Take Advantage of the Photo-ops! Take lots of pictures! Unico has so many fun little spots around the property to take a vacation photoshoot – snap pictures to your heart’s desire! BONUS TIP: Download the App! Download the RCD Hotel app! Here you can find the hotel’s general information, resort map, activities schedule, restaurant & room service menus, a spot to make dinner reservations, and more! The app is called “RCD Hotels” in the iPhone app store. By Elizabeth Moran, Weddings Supervisor at VIP Vacations
